David Gilmour - Remember That Night: Live At The Royal Albert Hall
Remember That Night was filmed over three nights, May 29, 30 & 31, 2006, at London's Royal Albert Hall, during David Gilmour's short tour in support of his new On An Island album. This tour saw Gilmour backed by essentially the same core band members that joined him on the last Pink Floyd tour, with the biggest exception being Nick Mason missing from behind the drum kit. Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright was the co-star of the tour.
Several guest stars also joined Gilmour on this tour, most notably David Crosby and Graham Nash, who also provided gorgeous backing vocals on the new album. David Bowie also takes the lead vocals on "Arnold Layne" and "Comfortably Numb" to close out one of the shows.

Phil Taylor - Pink Floyd: The Black Strat, a History of David Gilmour's Black Fender Stratocaster (SCANNED PDF) [2008]
Source: filecrop
To be honest, this is a rather bad scan, but the only one I could find.
[image=R6PyBAZNx5]
Summary
Release Date: September 1, 2008
The Black Strat book is the first and only accurate and knowledgeable account of David Gilmour's favorite Stratocaster guitar. Written by Phil Taylor - David's personal guitar technician since 1974 - to coincide with the release of the long awaited and much requested Fender 'David Gilmour Signature Strat': an instrument replicating the look, set-up, sound and feel of David's famous black guitar as it is today. The chronological story begins with David Gilmour joining Pink Floyd in early 1968, his guitar at that time, his subsequent instruments leading to the purchase of the Black Strat in 1970, and the other guitars that have come and gone. The book details all of the changes and modifications made to the Black Strat, its use on Pink Floyd tours and iconic albums, David's solo projects, and various guest appearances throughout the years.

BBC The Pink Floyd And Syd Barrett Story 3of4 David Gilmour DVDR
The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story (DVD)
Arts Documentary hosted by Kirsty Wark, published by BBC in 2001 - English narration
Information
------------------------------
The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story
The sudden departure of Pink Floyd's founding member Syd Barrett in 1968 marked the closure of the first prolific chapter in the Pink Floyd story. A maverick artist and true individual, Syd Barrett helped forge the British psychedelic scene when he formed Pink Floyd with Roger Waters, Rick Wright and Nick Mason in 1965. This special charts the band's rise to fame under the guidance of Barrett's influence to his premature departure under a cloud of drug abuse and psychological problems. Richly illustrated with rare early footage of the band performing, alongside new interviews with the members of the band - David Gilmour, Rick Wright, Roger Waters and Nick Mason - and their associates, fans and friends including Jerry Shirley (Humble Pie), Graham Coxon (Blur) and original band member Bob Klose. Featuring classic early Pink Floyd songs Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Interstellar Overdrive, Arnold Layne, See Emily Play & Bike. DVD Extras: Approx. 20 minutes of Interviews with Roger Waters, David Gilmour on "Wish You Were Here", Robyn Hitchcock performances - "Dominoes" & "It Is Obvious",

Rewiev
---------------------------------------
By the time of David Gilmour's solo debut, he had not only established himself several times over as an
underrated, powerful guitarist in Pink Floyd, but as a remarkably emotional singer, his soothing approach
perfectly suited to such songs as "Wish You Were Here." The self-titled album, recorded with journeyman
bassist Rick Wills and Sutherland Brothers drummer Willie Wilson, later to be part of the touring Floyd
lineup for its Wall dates, isn't a deathless collection of music in comparison to Gilmour's group heights,
but is a reasonably pleasant listen nonetheless. Certainly it's much more approachable than Animals,
released earlier that year, eschewing epics for relatively shorter, reflective numbers. While Gilmour wrote
the vast majority of the songs himself, the most successful number was co-written with Unicorn member Ken
Baker: "There's No Way Out of Here," an agreeably dreamy, wistful song featuring an attractive acoustic
slide guitar/harmonica hook. That it sounds a bit like a Pink Floyd outtake certainly doesn't hurt, but one
figures Roger Waters would have tried for some heavily barbed lyrics to offset the melancholy. Throughout
the album Gilmour sounds like he's having some jamming fun with his compatriots in his own particular
blues-meets-the Home Counties style, adding keyboard overdubs here and there (his efforts are passable, but
it's understandable why he's known for his guitar work first and foremost). Numbers of note include "Cry
From the Street," with its fully rocked-out conclusion, the sweetly sad "So Far Away," one of his best
vocal showcases, and the concluding "I Can't Breathe Anymore," capturing the recurrent Pink Floyd theme of
isolation quite well. While one would be hard-pressed to hum a memorable melody outside of "There's No Way
Out of Here," it's still a good enough experience for those who enjoy his work.
